Very nice hotel located conveniently in downtown Oranjestad. Friendly, helpful staff, very clean common areas and rooms. Our room was quite small and scantily furnished, and the bed was a bit hard. Nice if tight bathroom, no counter space. Overall a good deal. Great restaurant attached for conveniently breakfast and lunch.
Our stay at Victoria City Hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming—they truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The breakfast was top-notch—fresh, homemade, and prepared with so much care and love. It felt personal and authentic, not just a standard hotel meal. The people here are fantastic, the rooms are modern, stylish, and very affordable, which makes the experience even better. Since it’s a new place, everything feels fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed. If you’re visiting Aruba and want a comfortable, warm, and great-value stay, Victoria City Hotel is definitely a place I’d highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back!
Hotel is centrally located in town and walkable to Main Street and Surfside Beach. Our main level room faced a gas station and noisy due to vehicle traffic. Bedroom with small fridge is a little cramped for 2 average-sized persons and 2 large suitcases, but hotel open spaces and comfortable covered patio is available. Shower water pressures are excellent and a/c are good. The room was very clean and impressively saw house staff cleaning floor tiles with toothbrushes!! The included breakfast provides great local fresh items and friendly service. This hotel won’t be confused with Michelin rated ones, however is priced accordingly providing solid value and amenities within its category. Will stay again in future.
I recently stayed at the Victoria City Hotel in Aruba and had a lovely experience. The hotel had a pleasant aroma and was impeccably clean, making the stay comfortable. While the room was on the smaller side, it was cozy and more than sufficient for two people. It felt unique and charming. But, I did have some difficulty sleeping due to construction noise, and any hallway noise definitely echoed into the room. However, if everyone is quiet, you should still get a good night’s rest. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, with fresh pineapple juice and other tasty offerings. The staff was very kind and helpful, adding a warm and welcoming touch to the stay. I also had a rental car and found parking right in front of the hotel with no issues. There was a gas station nearby, but it didn’t bother me at all. The hotel’s downtown location was convenient just about six minutes by car to luxurious stores like Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, and Zara. I had a great time shopping and exploring.
I stayed there for 3 nights recently for my birthday and it was a complete disaster! When I first walked in I could smell the stench of cigarettes in the air. After I paid for my room with my credit card I noticed that the hotel changed me about 15 dollars extra so I asked the guy who works there why I was being charged extra and he said oh its a fee when you use your credit card… I should of known from that point this was a terrible choice I made but I was trying to stay positive. Then I walk upstairs to my room because there’s no elevator and when I open the door it looks nothing like the lovely pictures on the internet! I went back downstairs to let him know I wasn’t happy with the room and also to let him know there’s no box tissue in the room he told me that there was no other king rooms left and that in the 50 years that they been in business nobody never asked for tissue! He also informed me that the people in Aruba use toilet tissue for everything I was appalled and disgusted! I let him know I travel around the world and I never heard of such thing in my life! He said he would fix the issue and he never did!!! Overall Aruba is a nice place to visit but this so called hotel is TRASH! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED! I guess it’s true when they say you get what you pay for! IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD!
