Sobre L.G. Smith's Steak & Chop House

Elige tu corte. ¡L.G.

The service and ambiance was very nice. You need a reservation because they’re always booked. The attire was pretty much casual . Some were dressed more upscale casual. As someone who frequents steak houses I did not particularly enjoy my steak. I thought it lacked flavor. It was cooked perfectly medium but it just wasn’t good to me. The cream of spinach was more of a soup consistency. I just really did not enjoy my meal. Maybe I will try something different if I return. I did enjoy my drink and wine .

The ambiance at L.G. Smith’s Steakhouse was beautiful, and the mixologist presentation was definitely a highlight. The drinks were crafted well and set the tone for what I expected to be a great dining experience. Unfortunately, the food did not match the presentation. I ordered a steak cooked medium well, along with a loaded baked potato and brussels sprouts. The steak lacked seasoning, the brussels sprouts were just okay, and the baked potato was dry, which was disappointing for a steakhouse of this caliber. I came in with high expectations after seeing so many five star reviews, but that was not the experience I received. Overall, it looked the part, but the flavor just didn’t deliver.

We always visit this place at least once while we’re here in Aruba this time was no different. I highly recommend making reservations because they tend to get busy. I highly recommend getting a steak, 5oz lobster and the crab cake there. Everything else is OK from the 12oz lobster to the ribs and then mashed potatoes. The sides are not shareable. The 12 ounce lobster and the 5 ounce lobster are prepared different. Also, everything else lacked salt. Overall, we will return once back again.

I am literally writing this review from my chair because this meal was that good. Hands down the best meal I’ve had in Aruba. Every single dish was exceptional. The tuna tartare was incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced, the scallops were cooked to perfection, and the filet mignon was one of the best I’ve ever had - tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. The wine sauce was to die for! And do not skip the cauliflower gratin side - it was absolutely unreal and a must-order. The drink presentation/show was such a fun and unique touch. It really made the whole experience feel even more special! The service and atmosphere truly elevated everything. This place exceeded expectations in every way. Highly recommend - this is an absolute must-visit in Aruba.

The food is so mid and for the price, absolutely not. We ordered the $29 crab cake, which was one small crab cake mind you, and it was very fishy tasting. Told the waiter we did not like he didn’t offer to take off the bill. Started with bread that was overly salty and flavored butter that had no taste. French onion soup was good. Could barely eat the sides. They told us they pre make all the sides and literally heat them up once you order so everything was just not fresh tasting at all. Desserts tastes like they were out of the grocery store frozen section heated up. Finally on top of that they add a 17 percent service fee! Absolutely outrageous. So we ended up paying a 30% tip! Would never ever return here. Our waiter was really sweet I liked him. Raspberry mocktail was delicious. Other than that this place is absolutely forgettable!
