The Grand Fish Restaurant

I was very excited to try this place because of the whole fried snapper. The drink menu had no prices for the drinks. And no description of the drinks. It took a little while to order drinks because we had to ask what was in the drink that we were interested in. The martini came with four floating ice cubes in it. Both drinks were flavorful, but it tasted as if there was no alcohol and it was just the mixer. My partner ordered the fish soup. It had two large potatoes in there. It tasted of potato starch, more than fish or seafood. I order the snapper and the snapper itself was fine. The sides left a lot to be desired. We sat inside. The tables and chairs are very close together and while we were the only two people inside, it still felt very crowded. Our server was OK. It wasn’t friendly. Or unfriendly. He just didn’t seem to care if we were there or not. There are many better places to eat.

The food was just ok and we did not enjoy our experience. We had the escargot. It tasted like it came from a can. It was salty and not flavorful. We ordered a medium and medium well tenderloin. They both arrived VERY WELL DONE and when I tried to tell the server, they didn't belive me until I showed them the meat. They remade it but by then I was already over it. The salmon was good, as was the mojito.

Food was great. Service was slow and we were the first people there for lunch. Grilled whole red snapper was delicious. Fish soup and coconut shrimp we also a hit. Kids also liked their burger and calamari

The Grand Fish Restaurant is a solid choice if you’re in the Renaissance Marketplace and looking for a good meal. I stopped in for lunch and was greeted by a friendly staff, and the service was quick and efficient. I ordered the seafood pasta, which was a mix of seafood and linguine, and it came with some bread on the side. Honestly, it tasted even better than I expected. Everything was cooked well and had great flavor. I also really liked the little bread bites they serve as an appetizer—so much so that I ended up ordering a whole extra side of them. I think you’ll enjoy your meal here, especially if you’re already in the area. Just keep in mind that the prices are closer to what you’d pay for a meal in the U.S. Since this is a tourist-heavy part of town, you’re not likely to find the same kind of value you might get in more local spots. Still, for the taste and convenience, I’d say it’s worth it.

1st time at Grand Fish for us. We were pleasantly impressed with the service & food. We got there about 8:00 pm, no reservation. It was humid out, but we got to sit in the air-conditioning & a good DJ. Maritza Acosta was our server, and she was excellent. Took our drink order (which were delicious) explained the specials, helped me with menu items (describing them) May have been out 1st time there but won't be the last.
