De Palm Tours

De Palm Tours runs the day pass to De Palm Island, the Atlantis submarine from Oranjestad and private catamaran charters on the Fortunata, among other trips in Aruba.

Who they are

De Palm Tours is an Aruba tour operator with trips on land and water, from bus and UTV tours to catamaran sails. They also run De Palm Island, a small coral island off the coast of Aruba, and the Atlantis submarine, which leaves from the Renaissance Marina in downtown Oranjestad.

Through us you can book three of their trips. A day pass for De Palm Island covers the ferry, a lunch buffet and grill, an open bar for adults, snorkel gear with guided snorkel tours twice a day, and the water park and slides. On the Atlantis submarine tour you check in at the Atlantis store in Oranjestad and spend about 1.5 hours under water, down to 130 feet, with a guide on board. For your own group there is the private catamaran charter on the Fortunata: three hours from De Palm Pier with drinks, bites, snorkel gear and floating hammocks.

Marcella tested De Palm Island and the submarine. On the island her group of friends upgraded to a private cabana, right where the flamingos walk along the beach, and the banana boat was great fun for adults too. The tall body-drop slides suit older kids and adults, and younger children have their own water park. On the submarine her kids stayed at the windows the whole trip, and nobody gets wet.

We went out with them ourselves. Here is how it went.

De Palm Island

Did De Palm Island with a group of girlfriends for a birthday and upgraded to a private beach cabana, right where the flamingos hang out and just walk around the beach with you. We booked the ticket with bus pickup, and with the ferry over it was a super smooth start to the day. Once there it's open bar, lounge beds, attentive staff, and genuinely good food. We did the banana boat a few times as a group, way more fun as adults than expected, and the tall body-drop slides are a solid thrill if you're not with little kids (there's a separate water park for them). A really memorable day, great for groups, families, or a couple wanting something special.

Aruba Atlantis Submarine Tour

Did the Atlantis Submarine with the family and it's a nice change from another beach day. You check in downtown at the Renaissance Marina, then head into the lower cabin below the water, air-conditioned, with windows looking straight out at the fish and reef. The kids were glued to the glass the whole time. Best part: you stay completely dry, no snorkeling needed, so it's an easy win even with younger kids. Runs a few times a day too, so it's easy to slot in. Would genuinely recommend for families.

Who De Palm Tours is right for

Families with kids of different ages. On De Palm Island the youngest have their own water park, while older kids and adults take the body-drop slides (minimum height applies).

Non swimmers and young children. The Atlantis submarine shows you the reef and the fish through the windows, and you stay completely dry.

Groups celebrating something. Marcella spent a birthday on De Palm Island with friends in an upgraded cabana. Cabanas and VIP areas are paid upgrades.

Travelers who want the whole day arranged. The island day pass covers the ferry, lunch, drinks, snorkeling and the slides, with the bar and grill open until 17:00.

Couples and small groups who want a boat to themselves. On the private charter only your group is on board, with a morning sail at 9:30 or an afternoon sail at 13:15.

Insider tip: No car? Book the De Palm Island ticket with bus transport, which costs extra. Marcella booked the ticket with bus pickup, which made for a smooth start. Walk-in tickets have no pickup, and check-in closes at 14:00.
