Tropical Sailing

Tropical Sailing sails twice a day from Oranjestad on a smaller, traditional sailboat, with snorkeling, a BBQ lunch or sunset dinner and an open bar on board.

Who they are

Tropical Sailing takes guests out on a smaller, traditional sailboat. They run one trip, the Tropical Sailing Experience: four hours under sail, twice a day. The 9:00 AM trip comes with a BBQ lunch, the 3:00 PM trip with a BBQ sunset dinner. You meet at Bushiri 25 in Oranjestad.

On the Tropical Sailing Experience the crew serves a fruit bowl, the BBQ lunch or dinner and a premium open bar, and there is a kids menu for younger guests. Snorkel gear is on board for the snorkel stop. Free pickup is available from certain hotels. If your hotel is not listed when you book, choose "Other" or "Private Residence", and depending on where you stay the crew may ask you to meet at another pickup point.

Marcella joined the sunset trip with a group of friends. Her group sailed from Barcadera Marina, and the crew made them feel welcome right away. On a traditional sailboat it feels like real sailing. They sailed past Mangel Halto, with views over the water and the mangroves, then anchored off Reflections Beach for sunset with a full barbecue dinner, plenty of fruit and time to swim for anyone who wanted to.

Tropical Sailing Experience

We joined Tropical Sailing's 4-hour sunset cruise with a group of friends, leaving from Barcadera Marina just past the airport, easy to find and the crew was welcoming right away. It's a smaller, traditional sailboat, so it really feels like sailing. We sailed past Mangel Halto for pretty views over the water and mangroves, then anchored off Reflections Beach for sunset with a full barbecue dinner, plenty of food and fruit, and time to swim if you wanted. Really relaxing. Recommend it if you'd like a small, classic sailing experience.
