Meeting & Pick up:

Transportation is complimentary for the high/low-rise hotel area. Pick-up time is approximately 45 minutes before the tour start time and is specified in the confirmation e-mail. Please follow directions in the confirmation e-mail.

What to bring:

Bring cash gratuity for our guides
Wear long pants
Wear firm shoes like sneakers (slippers are not appropriate)
Firm hats that do not fly off in a strong breeze

Know before you go:

The tours are non-stop, with small breaks at the beaches so you can take pictures if you would like to do so. No one gets off the horse during our tours (in contrast with other ranch tours that “park” for 30-45 minutes).
Note: Due to our light horse breeds, we have a weight and height restriction of 230 pounds and 6’2″. Book online to receive the direct online discounted price!
Children's pricing is applicable for ages 6-11.

Additional information:

Beginner: limited to no riding experience and unable to mount/dismount unassisted
Semi-Beginner: capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted and comfortable and in control at walking pace
Intermediate: comfortable in the saddle, confident and in control at all paces, rider who is currently riding regularly in open country
Advanced: all of the above, plus an independent seat, soft hands, and capable of handling a spirited horse in open country

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation is possible only 48 hours before the scheduled date and time. Any cancellation within 48 hours before the booked date and time is considered a default on your part, which results in a no-claim of the fee that you have agreed to pay in full.
Only cancellations within 48 hours with proof of force majeure, medical proof of sickness, or injuries may be accepted.
First, we will try to reschedule the tour in case it cannot go through due to any of the reasons mentioned above.
If rescheduling is not possible and all conditions of the cancellation policy are met, you will receive a full refund.

This was a wonderful horseback ride!! Highly recommend coming to The Gold Mine Ranch. They take care of their horse, these were some of the best looking horses I have seen in the Caribbean. Our guide was great making sure he got pictures for us. I am an experienced rider and he made sure to give me plenty of galloping time, which my husband I am sure didnt enjoy, but oh well, he did great! I would definitely come back here again. The staff was friendly, the horses are well behaved. It was a great experienced!

We had a great tour with Canido and his young assistant. They were a pleasure. We made 3 picture stops and traveled along the beach. Very relaxing. We ended up having father and son horses. Colorado and Wahti(sp?). Colorado was nipping at Wahti most the time so that was funny to see. Highly recommend!!

One of the BEST horseback riding experiences I have ever had! Great guides, well cared for horses, fabulous views, and I was blessed to mount Sueño the beautiful champion Paso Fino who danced with me for 1.5 hours!!! (He is definitely suited for an experienced rider) Jesus and Jose were the perfect guides! Candi was extra special too! I highly recommend The Gold Mine Ranch for an experience of a lifetime ride in Aruba.

Our family had a wonderful time riding with Jesus and Jose! There were 10 people in our group, a couple and another family consisting of grandpa, dad, mom and their younger son (around 6 years old) rode double while their older son (around 8) rode alone, and it was his very first time!! I was very impressed since our group had extremely different levels of riding experiences: first time ever, ridden a dozen times in their lives, to us who own horses and ride 3-4 times a week. Same went for the horses, some were more experienced than others, and they paired them very well! They made the ride enjoyable for all of us while making sure everyone was safe. The views from the ride was amazing! After returning to the stables, we visited a bit and took some pictures!!

We did the private 1.5/2 hour ride and had a great time! We both have riding experience and the horses were well mannered and good boys. Our guide was helpful, fun and great at pictures. It was a beautiful ride through the landscape and along some secluded coves. Definitely a fun experience on the island!
