Royal Restaurant and its staff are truly exceptional. The service is consistently outstanding, and every dish is both delicious and beautifully presented. Joy is always warm, personable, and genuinely kind — she makes every visit feel special. Higal was phenomenal. His attentiveness stood out immediately; he refilled our drinks before we even had to ask and did it with such friendliness and pride in his work. He was engaging, professional, and clearly dedicated to providing an excellent experience. We were thrilled to have him as our server more than once. Royal Restaurant continues to impress us in every way — from the food to the service to the people who make it unforgettable.
We moved our owner’s week here this year from Xcaret, Mexico, and we were not disappointed! Every staff member we encountered was amazing and helped make our stay a great one. The resort’s restaurants deserve some recognition, too! It’s a little difficult to leave reviews for them individually, so I’m including that appreciation here in our resort review. The nightly shows were very entertaining—some felt like watching Cirque du Soleil! And the casino? Dangerous…for your vacation budget! 😂 The location is great, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and excursions nearby. There’s so much to enjoy both at the resort and out exploring. Don’t be surprised if you make a ton of new friends at the pool, either! We came for a vacation and left with wonderful memories and new friends! #southernmannersandredheadedopinions
If you are considering booking this resort, be prepared for a frustrating experience where basic comfort feels secondary to extra fees, and the service is practically non-existent. The Good: None to speak of. The Bad: "Royal Level" is a Marketing Gimmick: There are virtually no tangible benefits or elevated experiences included unless you are willing to shell out continuous extra cash. It feels less like an exclusive tier and more like a paywall for basic decency. The Towel Warfare: The poolside situation is chaotic. Getting a simple pool towel feels like an impossible task. Forget about asking attendants for help—poolside staff are entirely unresponsive, and finding an available chair is a headache because of aggressive towel-saving without actual occupancy. Neglected Beach Service: If you manage to make it down to the beach, don't expect anyone to check on you or provide proper service. Guests are largely ignored unless you are aggressively flagging someone down. Unjustified Pricing: For what you pay to stay here, you expect professional hospitality, responsive staff, and well-maintained amenities. Instead, you get nickel-and-dimed and treated like an inconvenience. Save your money and look elsewhere. A luxury price tag should come with luxury service, but this property delivers neither.
Dinner at Kyoto… all I can say is WOW!!! Starting with spring rolls and sushi, duck as the main course was delicious. That’s not what makes this restaurant so special though, all of the staff Jason , Nora, Liza and Roel were all fantastic. Warm , friendly, funny and attentive. They make you feel like you’re a regular in a local place. 5 stars ⭐️
Barcelo Aruba, is a great option for those looking for All Inclusive amenities. The standout for this hotel is the incredible staff, and warm service offered. At the Buffet ~ The Palm restaurant, a special thanks to both Ruthmila and Ashley for a fabulous service at breakfast, making sure we had a top-tier experience with their professionalism and excepcional client service! They are the heart of our favorite part of the visit to this hotel. Many thanks for a wonderful stay in Aruba 🩵 Note: Recommended improvements to the Barcelo Hotel guest rooms is much needed to renovate rooms which have very time-worn furniture, AC system and installations. Thank you.
