Great vacation spot. Nice pools, decent restaurant, GREAT staff. Rooms/furniture and overall building appearance are sub-par and need upgrading. 2 pools are good size and well maintained. Wifi service is slow. Overall cleanliness is 5-star though. Having an Econo Car Rental desk on spot is a good added value.
Not great. Didn't have hot water in the shower so called to have that resolved. Wound up with a puddle of water on the floor from the sink. Shower still didn't have hot water. Changed rooms and had no hot water at the sink, but at least the shower was hot. Then 1 day later I was taking a shower and the handle didn't turn as far as it did before and it didn't get as hot. THEN, I couldn't shut the water off!!! Called to have that fixed and it was. Never did get hot water to the sink. We rented a car from the resort and after using it two days it started overheating and smoking. We did get a new car but we wanted an SUV and they had none. Won't stay here again.
I really liked this place, it's lowkey but very nicely kept. Grounds are good, rooms are pretty good too. The staff from the front desk to the security out front are top-tier. I did not care for the restaurant. There is a cafe 080 SUPER close, like a 2-minute walk if you take a left out of the parking lot, it's RIGHT there. If I had to redo my first day, I would have gone there, not to the resort's restaurant. The vibe at 080 is great, and again SUPER CLOSE. Be sure that if you want to sit out at the pool, the chairs are claimed VERY early in the day. These people put their towels and bags out at 6/7 am. Rent a car for the first day or two at least! But this isn't as far out as you may think. A shuttle from the resort brings their guests to Eagle Beach, Arashi (right next to Boca Catalina and Tres Trapi), and another beach. There is a grocery store 2 seconds away, just past the 080, within walking distance. I would recommend going to where locals go to Save More for shopping; those big places are just about double, with not as much variety.
STAY HERE! Don’t waste your money going to the expensive beachside resorts. This one is the best on the island. The service, facilities, and beauty make up for the fact that it’s a little ways away from the beach. But if you have a car, it’s only 5 minutes from Palm Beach! The pools are so luxurious, the rooms are spacious, and the service is incredible. Fresh towels every single day, the room is organized and neatened to precision quality.
Excellent location for couples who do not want to be near downtown Aruba. Quiet & relaxing environment; staff is phenomenal!
