We had a fantastic stay at the Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort. The location was exceptional- right next to the palm beach downtown area night life but just down the street so you have some peace and quiet and the beach access was calmer, more tranquil. Our room, 604, was freshly updated and beautiful ! The views were amazing every morning. The resort is exceptionally clean, and all of the staff were friendly. The grounds had onsite bbq grills and kitchens in case you wanted to eat a few meals at home, which we did everyday. The pool was super clean and refreshing and the hot tub was hot. There were a few onsight restaurants, which we didn’t utilize but very nice to have. We went out to eat at dinner time each evening bc we rented a car. The beach front access was perfect for many days lounging on the beach. We never had any problem getting a palapa and chairs at the beach. Such a fantastic property in Aruba and we will definitely be staying again..
So Divi Phoenix is a lovely place. It’s clean and the room is beautiful and the pool and beach are delightful. Staff is helpful and attentive. I’d say 5s all around if you are happy at a resort. It’s in a good location as it’s not right in the middle of the hotel strip and walking distance from the popular tourist area if that’s your thing. Also only 10 min to Tres Trapi and Arashi beaches. That’s nice. But just a note about the crowd. It’s mostly people in their 60s and some people with younger kids. The beach empties by 4:00 and there isn’t much going on here after that. Nothing wrong with that but just my experience. Arashi has people there until 7 pm basically. Chill but lively. I personally realize I prefer to rent a place I think and be away from the tourist restaurants etc. and if you want a hotel nightlife or good music by the pool somewhere else is better for you. It’s also NO Cash anywhere on site so be ready for that.
We love, Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach resort. It was our second time staying here. The first time was last year and now this year in the suite which was even better than last year. You cannot beat the amenities and the location. We walked to everything. The food that their restaurants on the property is amazing. Their service is excellent. Great family vacation. We took all 11 of us, including three children. The beach is perfect other than you have to get up super early and get a chair for the day. Highly recommend Divi Aruba Phoenix. I’ve been to Aruba seven times in my life. I love this island.
We spent 7 wonderful days at the Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort and couldn't have been happier with the experience! The hotel is very comfortable and the standout feature is the fully equipped kitchen in the room, you can visit a local grocery store and cook your own meals, which saves money and makes the stay feel much more like home. The resort also offers BBQ grills for guests to use, which we thought was a lovely touch and not something you find everywhere. The vibe is calm and relaxed, without the hectic party atmosphere you get at some resorts. Perfect for couples or travelers looking for a peaceful getaway rather than a crowded, noisy scene. The only downside worth mentioning is the lack of a full continental breakfast buffet, which you might expect from a resort of this type. I missed the big, varied breakfast included... That said, they do offer a decent à la carte breakfast menu. Or you can eat at your room Overall, highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy Aruba with comfort, flexibility, and a laid-back atmosphere.
This was the second time we stayed here. The first time was a time share exchange. This time I paid. Total was over 3k with taxes. I think it took a step back. My wife found a bug in the kitchen called me off the balcony to kill it. I told her to get the broom in the closet. I trapped and killed it. It was a Roach. I have pictures. Very disappointed. We were on the sixth floor out of 8 floors. If you have roaches on the 6th floor you have a bug problem. We went down and told the desk clerk and to be honest he couldn’t care less. Then we spoke to a manager he couldn’t care less. Do you want pest control? he asked. Well duh yes we do. No compensation asked for and none given. But the no give a shit attitude was disappointing. Too bad because I always liked it here. I booked through priceline. But they never sent me a review. Thank God it happened on Thursday we only one full day left.
