The resort was just ok. Our room had mold and there was a very strong musty smell. It was very difficult to breathe at night sleeping. I asked to change rooms and the front desk staff was not accommodating. They said the cleaning staff was going to do a deep clean but they didn’t. We stayed out of the room for most of the day and there was no change in the smell or mold spots when we returned. We ended up buying cleaning products to clean the room ourselves. The activities staff was wonderful, the entertainment was great and the bar staff was good. We liked the pools, activities and that it was in walking distance to the beach.
We loved our vacation in Aruba and staying at the Eagle Aruba Resort. You have access to the beach with dedicated sections to reserve your spot (hint get in early during holiday season). Eagle beach is great as it is much quieter and less populated than Palm beach and only a 10 min drive to palm beach For restaurants. The resort had few pools, hot tub and restaurants for quick bites. The rooms are also equipped with kitchenette, great for families. Overall we loved the beach, convenience of the resort, water activities and safe/friendly Aruba island.
Spent a week here with family in June. Location is wonderful, service is wonderful, pools are super clean. My only complaint is the resort fun activities/water slide shuts down at 6:00. It felt like this could stay open until 8:00/9:00. I don’t have small kids but it just isn’t a good look to shut things down when families are still engaged in the fun. Room service team is great & love being able to walk across the road for groceries.
We have stayed here a few years in a row; however, I don't see us visiting anytime soon. The value is simply not there for the cost. Beach is beautiful, but chairs are a struggle to get. People leave their garbage on the beach. We witnessed people bringing their food, and burying their bones. Rooms are run down. It's sadly not like it use to be.
The rooms were so well laid out. The pools and hot tub are great. The staff at the restaurant were amazing. But the front desk was not very efficient. I had reservations for a grill from 5-6 pm and went to the front desk to get my spatula and tongs, I waited for 25 minutes to have someone wait on me. Then they didn't have a spatula, just a meat fork and tongs.
