Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino was absolutely incredible! Everything exceeded our expectations, from the amazing staff who were consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive to the incredible food and beautiful resort itself. The level of hospitality truly stood out and made us feel welcome from start to finish. The team genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure guests have an unforgettable experience, and it really shows! The location is unbeatable, right on beautiful Palm Beach with stunning turquoise waters, gorgeous beaches, and plenty of restaurants, shops, and activities nearby. Everything about this resort made our vacation special, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. My wife and I had an amazing time and would 100% recommend this resort to anyone visiting Aruba. We can't wait to come back!
My husband and I now fear that we won't want to stay at any other hotel!! LOVED this hotel. First of all, it was stunningly beautiful. Tons of greenery, trees, and waterfalls. The cleaning service came each day and they were great. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful too. The parking across the street is such a huge plus (it's free for guests!!), and the food at the hotel was great too. The adult pool is gorgeous and it's great to have an area for 18+. Also, unlike most high end hotels, the Hyatt gives you the option of actually reserving an umbrella + chairs FOR FREE. There are also some options you can pay for that may be "better" but the ones that are free are also great. No BS of being forced to pay to sit at your own hotel! We'll definitely be back!! Tip: a great time to go is Sept - literally nothing was crowded and it was so ideal
So, Myself and three of my besties were there in May on a long overdue girls trip. All I can say is one of my best trips to date. The resort itself is beautiful and so clean thanks to all the staff. The service was fabulous, a shout out to Willie in the breakfast area. Another shout out to Raul or Rauool near the pool bar. The beach was amazing, water perfect, pool the best, and room attendants were awesome. Oh the birds are doing alright as they told me lol. Can’t wait till next time, will definitely be back. Last note, the location was perfect. Walked everywhere.
I rarely write negative reviews, but I could not wait to warn others about this property. The Hyatt Regency Aruba is marketed as a five-star resort, and seeing it listed as an American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts property raised my expectations even higher. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. First impressions matter, and ours started with a very long check-in line followed by nearly 30 minutes at the front desk just to complete the check-in process. After traveling all day, there was no sense of urgency, no warm welcome, and the staff appeared completely overwhelmed and disorganized. The rooms were the biggest disappointment. They feel more like dated motel rooms than luxury resort accommodations. There is nothing about them that reflects a five-star experience. The furnishings, finishes, and overall condition are simply not what you would expect at this price point. Breakfast was another letdown. The selection and quality were mediocre at best and nowhere near what should be offered at a luxury property. The beach experience was equally frustrating. There are numerous employees whose primary job seems to be selling upgrades for premium lounge chair locations, while guests using the complimentary chairs are pushed to less desirable areas near boating activity. Charging premium rates for a beachfront resort and then making guests feel like second-class customers unless they pay even more for a decent place to sit is unacceptable. The pool experience wasn’t any better. Finding chairs was difficult, and service was practically nonexistent. During our time at the adult pool, I saw several employees standing around talking while only one server was working. She never made it to our side of the pool, so ordering food or drinks became nearly impossible. Ironically, the best part of our stay was one of the restaurants on the property. The meal was excellent and was the only aspect of the resort that met expectations. My biggest disappointment may actually be with American Express for including this property in its Fine Hotels + Resorts collection. That designation suggests an elevated luxury experience, and this resort simply does not deliver. Based on my experience, I would rate this as a three-star property, not a five-star resort. Aruba has no shortage of beautiful resorts. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. Don’t be misled by the marketing or the Fine Hotels + Resorts designation. There are far better options on the island that provide much better value and a genuinely luxurious experience.
We just got back from a fantastic stay at Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino, and overall it’s a great property. From the moment you arrive, the resort makes a strong impression. The grounds, amenities, and overall upkeep are excellent—easily five-star in that regard. The pools, beach access, and common areas are all very well maintained, and the ability to reserve chairs by the pool or beach is a huge plus, especially for families. Service was consistently solid. Staff were friendly, helpful, and the housekeeping team did a great job keeping the rooms clean and tidy each day. Food options on the resort were also a highlight. There’s a good variety with different price points, so you’re not locked into one type of experience the entire stay. If there’s one area that holds it back slightly, it’s the rooms themselves. They’re clean and functional, but starting to feel a bit dated. The carpet; especially in a beach resort setting with kids coming in and out; doesn’t make a ton of sense. Updated flooring and a refresh to the bathrooms would go a long way in elevating the overall experience. All in all, we had a great time. It’s a well-run, family-friendly resort in a prime location. Would we come back? Possibly; but we’d also be open to exploring other options on the island next time.
