Beautiful beautiful beautiful! We absolutely loved our villa, we stayed in Anabui 5 (3-bedroom) and it was really spacious! The views from the balconies were gorgeous. The only thing is that it was 3 wasp nests outside of the first bedroom balcony, so we couldn’t stay outside for too long. Other than that, everything was up to par and the staff were attentive when we needed anything they would deliver! The villa was also really clean when we arrived. The location is less than 10 minutes from the popular strip of restaurants, entertainment, stores, etc. Would recommend for families!!
Tierra del Sol has a delightful pool area. Lenny, one of the main bartenders, is incredibly friendly and service oriented. He makes excellent drinks and is attentive to guests’ wishes. The grounds are well maintained. I don’t golf but the course looks very interesting.
I would not go to Aruba in general again. Very disappointed of the people and the services aside from how expensive the island is. We left home and we had to show an ED card something about immigration, of course with the rush not to miss the plane we got scammed and end up paying $100 each, group of 3, when it was only $20 ea. As we arrived in Aruba we were told to get a taxi to the hotel tierra del sol. Another $50. It would have been better to rent a car. The distances are humongous. Once we arrived to tierra del sol, we went immediately to the reception area. It seems like noone wants to work in Aruba. It bothers them when you request help or services. We got one rude lady at the front desk which guide us to the rental. 3 bedroom apartment, old and falling apart. Just in case you stay in the hotel, only 1 restaurant from 10 am to 8pm. Super expensive. Food is so so, no flavor. That same day we return to the airport, rented a car and stopped at the many thousands of supermarkets in the island, avoid Asian ones. I think they put chlorine on their food to preserve them. There are a few places to go like the light house $6 per person, you go up and down. Nothing to see. You can't even hear the story on the way up. Places to go: Maybe oranjestad to walk around or paseo hacienda yet everything is super expensive and for souvenirs where the cruise lines are, there's a market. Please bargain when yo go. One more thing, tierra del sol advertise a gym, you have to pay is not free, room service, I did see a soul in 3 days that I was there, the restaurant has a leak in the ceiling so prepare for a weat meal. And the streets, oh lord, drive slow. I thought the money the collect was to repair the roads. Bahahaha... And they call it one happy island
The most incredible experience from start to finish.. hospitality was sincerely outstanding from the time when checked in with the most genuine young lady at check in to the golf pro from Boston that was top shelf. Can’t say enough about the friendly and knowledge staff! Everything incredibly manicured , first class and welcoming! My 4 sons and I had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back, priceless memories!!! Many thanks to Tierra Del Sol in Aruba!!!
We came from the Ritz for a couples massage and left fairly disappointed. We booked a deep tissue and my husband’s masseuse was too hard on him while mine felt like I was being rubbed down by a little kid with no body strength. They didn’t have slippers in his bathroom. Someone accidentally walked in on us during our massage. The sauna was off, after we were offered to use it and the front desk lady, with a snarky attitude, told us that we need to request it. Couldn’t they have told us that before our massage so they can get it warmed up as it was cold in there and we weren’t going to waste our time just waiting for it. They didn’t ask us at check out if we liked our experience, they didn’t care that we didn’t look happy. I would not recommend this place. Luckily, the Ritz reimbursed us as they were supposed to book us at Spa del Sol but accidentally booked us here. It’s not about the bad experience, it’s about how it’s handled and they did a terrible job handling it.
