Faster experiences such as go-kart racing, tube and banana boat rides and the jeep safaris through Arikok National Park are popular with older kids and teens. Each tour page lists the minimum age, so check it before you book.
Yes. The Island Bus Tour & Aruba Waterpark combines a guided island tour with a full day at the water park, including free hotel pickup. It is an easy way to see the highlights and let the kids burn off energy without arranging transport yourself.
Most jeep safaris and island tours on this page include pickup from most hotels, such as the Half Day Full Island Tour, the Island Ultimate Safari, the Mangel Halto & Baby Beach Off-road Safari and the Kukoo Aruba Island Tour. Boat tours, the water park and go-karting usually start at their own location, so you arrange transport there yourself. The pickup details are listed on every tour page.
The ride to the Natural Pool (Conchi) in Arikok National Park goes over rough, bumpy terrain, and the last part to the pool is a walk over rocks. It is a highlight for adventurous families with school age kids, but less comfortable for babies and toddlers. Families with younger children can also look at the tours that combine the island highlights with swimming at Baby Beach.
Reef safe sunscreen, hats, plenty of water, swimwear, towels and water shoes for rocky beaches and the Natural Pool. The Aruba sun is strong even with the cooling trade winds, so plan shade breaks and reapply sunscreen often. Snorkel gear is included on most boat and snorkel tours, but kids' sizes can be limited, so bring your own child size mask if you have one.
