Everybody knows McDonald's, so we will not pretend it is a hidden gem. It is a fast food chain, it is familiar, and sometimes that is exactly what you want on holiday. What is worth knowing is that Aruba has a few McDonald's locations, and they are not interchangeable. Depending on where you are staying and what your day looks like, one of them will fit better than the others.
Here is the local read on where to go, from someone who grew up stopping at these on Friday fast food nights.
Visiting Arikok with kids? Plan the Santa Cruz location into your route for the play area. In Palm Beach, the Paseo dessert counter is great for a soft serve.

Been there many many times as a local. They sure take "Fast" out of "Fastfood". In other words their service is incredibly slow and has been for years. McDonald's at Sero Blanco is a bit faster. Only going to McDonald's because the kids ask for it.
This McDonald’s does not have a full menu but it has enough. Ate breakfast here, egg McMuffins are great, coffee is good. Traveled a quarter way around the world and McDonald’s still taste the same! Awesome stuff!
Clean restaurant however the service is very slow. Also the fries served were like biscuits.
I think they rounded up the worst employees globally and put them at this McDonald’s. Drive thru wait time was 15 min and there was one car ahead of us. I asked for cream for my coffee and they said that was an up charge. I agreed to pay it and they said they couldn’t do it anymore. The best is that it is a single lane drive thru and they asked to see my receipt at the second window and THEN they started to work on the order. I’m not expecting a Michelin dining experience but wow. Just wow. It’s a place you go to if you just came off a long flight and want something to eat. Anything is better than this. I repeat. Anything.
Got food poisoning. Have been sick for 2 days. Do not recommend.
Families with kids who need a familiar, no-surprises meal and a play area to burn off energy. Travelers who want something quick and recognizable near the hotels. And anyone road-tripping toward Arikok who wants a reliable stop along the way.
If you came to Aruba to eat local, this is not the place to spend one of your dinners. Save your appetite for Aruban cooking and the island's own restaurants, and keep McDonald's for the times when you just want something fast and familiar.
If you are staying in the Palm Beach high-rise area and you want something familiar and fast, this is the convenient one. It is close to the hotels and easy to reach on foot or with a short drive, handy when you do not feel like a big sit-down meal.
While you are walking around the Paseo shopping area in Palm Beach, there is a small McDonald's stand that only does desserts. It is an easy stop for a soft serve ice cream cone while you stroll, which is our own go-to here.
Closer to Oranjestad, the Seroe Blanco location is the one where locals go more often. If you are exploring town rather than the resort strip, this is the natural one to pass.
Out in Santa Cruz you will find another McDonald's, and this is the one to remember if you are heading to Arikok National Park. It is a good place to stop on the way, and it has a big kids' play area, which makes it a genuinely useful stop for families before or after a day in the park.
